{"id":4327,"date":"2019-04-27T15:52:10","date_gmt":"2019-04-27T15:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/codis.uninova.pt\/socolnet\/?p=4327"},"modified":"2019-06-25T10:25:23","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T10:25:23","slug":"doceis19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/codis.uninova.pt\/socolnet\/2019\/04\/27\/doceis19\/","title":{"rendered":"DoCEIS\u201919"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"flex_column av_one_full  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding first  avia-builder-el-0  el_before_av_button  avia-builder-el-first  \" style='border-radius:0px; '><section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><h2><a href=\"http:\/\/doceis.dee.fct.unl.pt\/\"><strong>DoCEIS&#8217;19<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<div align=\"right\">\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>The 10th Advanced Doctoral Conference on Computing, Electrical and Industrial Systems (DoCEIS&#8217;18) 08-10 May 2019 | Caparica, Lisbon, Portugal &#8211;\u00a0Technological Innovation for Industrial and Service Systems<\/p>\n<p>DoCEIS&#8217;19 is aimed as an international forum to provide a platform for the presentation of research results coming out of the PhD works, and a space for discussion of post-graduation studies, PhD thesis plans, and practical aspects of a PhD work.<\/p>\n<p>Among other activities, it includes:<\/p>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of research results by PhD students (co-authored by their supervisors).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Tutorials by invited experts on scientific, methodological, or soft skills topics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation and discussion of the base ideas of the thesis plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Discussion of the scientific and technical challenges in the several Electrical and Computer Engineering specialization areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Sharing of experiences among PhD students from different regions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Forum on practical aspects (e.g. Publications, job market, careers, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Creation of collaborative (social) networks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"right\">\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>Prospective authors of research papers are invited to submit their manuscripts reporting original work, in any of the scientific areas of the conference. Papers describing advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques and general survey papers indicating future directions are also encouraged.<\/p>\n<p>Following the successful previous editions, proceedings are expected to be published by\u00a0Springer, IFIP AICT series (and submitted for indexation in\u00a0Web of Science). Best papers will be considered for possible inclusion in a special journal issue.<\/p>\n<p>There will be also poster discussion sessions regarding theses\u2019 plans.
