{"id":4275,"date":"2019-04-27T12:23:10","date_gmt":"2019-04-27T12:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/codis.uninova.pt\/socolnet\/?p=4275"},"modified":"2019-06-24T21:23:03","modified_gmt":"2019-06-24T21:23:03","slug":"doceis13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/codis.uninova.pt\/socolnet\/2019\/04\/27\/doceis13\/","title":{"rendered":"DoCEIS\u201913"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"flex_column av_one_full  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding first  avia-builder-el-0  el_before_av_button  avia-builder-el-first  \" style='border-radius:0px; '><section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uninova.pt\/doceis\/doceis13\/sites.uninova.pt\/doceis.html\"><strong>DoCEIS\u201913<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n<div align=\"right\">\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>The 4th Doctoral Conference on Computing, Electrical and Industrial Systems (DoCEIS&#8217;13) 15-17 April 2013 | Caparica, Lisbon, Portugal &#8211;\u00a0Technological Innovation for Value Creation<\/p>\n<p>The 4th Doctoral Conference on\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Computing, Electrical and Industrial Systems (DoCEIS&#8217;13), is aimed as an international forum for presentation of\u00a0research\u00a0results coming out of PhD works, and a space for discussion of post-graduation studies, PhD thesis plans, and\u00a0practical\u00a0aspects of a PhD work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Among other activities, it includes:<\/p>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of research results by PhD students (co-authored by their supervisors).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Tutorials by invited experts on scientific, methodological, or soft skills topics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation and discussion of the base ideas of the thesis plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Discussion of the scientific and technical challenges in the several Electrical and Computer Engineering specialization areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Sharing of experiences among PhD students from different regions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Forum on practical aspects (e.g. Publications, job market, careers, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Creation of collaborative (social) networks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"right\">\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>Prospective authors of research papers are invited to submit their manuscripts reporting original work, in any of the scientific areas of the conference. Similarly to the previous three Editions(DoCEIS&#8217;10, DoCEIS&#8217;11 and DoCEIS&#8217;12), proceedings are expected to be published by Springer, IFIP AICT series (indexed in Web of Science).<\/p>\n<p>Best papers will be considered for possible inclusion in a special journal issue.<\/p>\n<p>There will be also poster discussion sessions regarding thesis plans.
